Whether you’re a regular patient who has already met Dr. Hendrix or a new patient looking forward to getting to know your new dentist, one thing’s for certain: Dr. Hendrix is thrilled you’re visiting our practice! Dr. Hendrix spent her early years in southern Indiana and is overjoyed to return after stints spent in Indianapolis, Kentucky, Bloomington, and Cleveland. Read on to learn more about Dr. Hendrix, her experience, and her passion for caring for the oral health of our River Falls Family Dental patients.
Southern Indiana Origins
After her birth in Indianapolis, Dr. Hendrix moved to New Albany at the age of eight when her mother became a lecturer of nursing at Indiana University Southeast. Dr. Hendrix initially intended to pursue medicine, but numerous experiences helped her decide that her passion would actually be realized as a dentist.
Dental School & Advanced Training
When Dr. Hendrix graduated dental school at the University of Louisville in 2004, she did so with honors, including the Oral and Maxillofacial Award in Pathology and the Periodontal Student Award. After discovering a love for surgery and caring for the gum health of her patients, Dr. Hendrix attended Case Western Reserve University where she received her certificate in periodontics and her master’s degree in dentistry in 2007.
After completing her speciality program, Dr. Hendrix hit the ground running and began practicing in Indianapolis, but she always knew she wanted to return to southern Indiana. When the opportunity presented itself, Dr. Hendrix, her husband Lenny, and their English Bulldog, Buttercup, eagerly moved to New Albany to join our practice.
